CAT - Certified Accounting Technician |
The ACCA introduced its Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification in 1997, which is now an internationally recognised qualification. There are over 25,000 students worldwide registered for the CAT examinations, of whom about 2,500 are in the UK. The most popular overseas destinations are Singapore, Pakistan, Malaysia, Africa and the Caribbean.
CAT is introduced to quip yuou with all technical skill and knowledge requied to fulfil a support role in professional accountancy. It is designed as an entry level accounting qualification for anyone who does not yet meet the criteria for the main ACCA professional level examinations, and for other professional accountancy qualifications like, ACA, ACMA etc.
The CAT qualification provides a solid foundation to progress to ACCA. It is open to anyone who is at least 16 years old. No formal academic qualifications are required to start this program.
When you start out as a CAT student you can progress your career and your studies as far as you want. ACCA and TSA will provide you with the opportunities, service and support to ensure you reach you career destination and make your journey along the way as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. |

Exemption |
|
You may claim exemption from the Introductory Level exams if you satisfy the one year's practical work experience requirement and can verify this by completing your Technician Training Record (TTR), which will be sent to you when you have registered as a CAT student.
